Anocolor Do’s and Don’ts
1. Wear personal protection at all time. Eye, hand and breathing mask.
2. Protect our environment, it is your responsibility also protect any surface that may be damaged by overspray.
3. Small quantity of do it yourself applications cleanup can be rinsed off with water.
4. Larger commercial use has to be treated as per local disposal requirements
5. Keep all spray equipment clean
6. Install water separator’s and dryers when water is present
7. Thin paint just enough to give a smooth bright finish, thick paint will be granular
8. Remember AnoColor Paint has been formulated to be removed from surface. However it is your responsibility to “test paint” the surface on a small non critical area before taking it upon yourself to paint a larger and or difficult areas to reach for removal. AnoColor tested many surfaces however you are responsible for the surface and environment you are painting, do not use any abrasive material to attempt removing the paint. Paint on Metal surfaces can be removed with lacquer thinners.
9. Keep spray gun at least 6-12 inches away from painting surface
10. Paint the first coat thin and even to render a good base coat (use hot air to dry)
11. If running of the paint occurs, lay the painted item flat, chance is the outstanding capillary action of AnoColor will flow evenly enough not having to rinse off and repaint
12. Allow several minutes between each additional coat
13. Remember each additional coat will appear darker than the previous coat
14. Spray the paint thick enough to remain shiny, thin coats may remain dull
15. Use a heat gun to dry the newly painted item. Too much heat concentrated on one area may fade or blister the paint. Also plastics could distort at high temperatures.
16. For multi tone items, paint the darker colors first. Paint can take up to 3 weeks to harden to a durable finish; therefor masking will remove the paint. However lighter colors can be sprayed over the dark finishes without too much color change.
17. Black comes in different shades Wheel Black, Pearl Black, Gray Black, Window Tint, Black and Black Metallic.
18. Any of the colors are compatible and can be mixed together or painted over to make a wide spectrum of personalized colors.
